About Me
My name is Elfried ADJIN and I’m from Benin. I heard about Mercy Ships from a priest which I am a friend within my church. What I enjoy in life is learning from others experiences and examples. I had many opportunities in my life and the only way I was satisfied, without having regrets, is by doing what God told me to do. Since then, my choices are made according to God’s will.
Ways You Can Help
There are three main ways you can help.

Prayer is my first need and priority! I am always so thankful for your prayers for my ministry and the work I am doing to bring hope and healing to the world’s forgotten poor. Pray for me

In Africa, volunteerism is not well understood or supported. Our first responsibility is to help our family and others close to us. So, it’s difficult for us to get sponsored by our churches or other persons. I’m already thankful to those of who you went through this lines and any amount is welcome.Support me

Please send me a message to share how you are doing and ask me questions about my time with Mercy Ships. I would love to hear from you! Message me

With orphans
During the week-end, I like to spend some time with orphans through the ship’s Mercy Ministry program. Freely I receive, freely I must give.

Family Visit
Before the Africa Mercy left Cotonou, Benin my family was able to visit. These are a few photos from the visit.

“I was part of a team responsible with implementing a new Supply System on the Africa Mercy. Elfried was the technical IS Support Specialist responsible with supporting us. He is a man of good character, does his work with integrity and always displayed great attitude under all circumstances. It was a pleasure and privilege working with Elfried.”
Walter Pretorius
“Elfried is a man of upmost integrity and noble character. He has the ability to read the next move and do it before he’s asked. There is no project or task that Elfried is not willing to try. I have a deep respect for this man and valued every minute I worked with him.”
Ryan Cardoza
“Elfried is a hard worker and a good friend and teammate. He is fluent in both French and English, making him a valuable asset to help our users feel at home using their own language. In his work, he is meticulous and thoughtful, and always enjoys a good laugh. We are really blessed to have him as a part of the Information Services team on the Africa Mercy.”
